Improve My Writing Skills
When I started this course at the beginning of the semester, my writing skills were not up to par. This class taught me how to improve my skills and helped me improve the skills that already had. Since the beginning of the semester, my writing has significantly improved. My writing was disorganized and just all over the place, but because of this class that is getting better with every day that passes by. Writing also affects my Education course and my Persian War course, not just my writing class. Other college classes require a good amount of writing. As well as affecting my courses, writing can really affect you in a workplace and how people perceive you.

I learned how to make a stronger outline so my paper was stronger, my editing skills became stronger, also I learned how make a strong counterargument. Learning how to do these things is crucial when writing a paper. Before this class I knew how to write a paper, but now I know how to write a paper that is much better. By taking this class I now feel like I can follow the writing process and end up with a good paper to hand in to my professor.
The feeling when you turn in the paper can definitely change. It can change because you can judge your writing skills. If your writing skills are not satisfactory then you can judge that the grade will not be good. If your writing skills are exceptional then you can expect a higher grade on the paper. Before I took this class when I handed in a paper, it was a guessing game of whether or not I would do well on the paper. Now that I have taken ENL 105 I can hand in a paper and be confident that I did well on that …show more content…
Teachers need to have good writing skills because there is a lot of writing involved with being a teacher. Teachers send emails to other teachers and parents and being able to write a professional email is a skill that you need. Teachers send emails and make lesson plans and that all requires the skill of writing. If you don’t have good writing skills and you are sending emails to parents that might make them think you’re not very educated and that can really affect your job. Teachers also have to write letters and report cards that have comments about the students. All of these items require having decent writing proficiency. Being educated and having acceptable writing skills can really help you in the
