able to see fear in their future victims as well as not getting caught for a while. Pertaining to a psychopath they have learned or taught themselves not to be able to feel fear, they seem to be better at feigning fear because it is what is expected from normal people when something bad happens.
Jon Lynch who is a teacher at Syl-Apps School and runs a program that is designed for troubled kids or in risk of getting into trouble. According to John Lynch addressing what is the evolutionary Psychology by studying the person’s generic traits, family upbringing, and environment settings to learn the predisposition of the youth for violence (Law, 2007). Another of the biggest components that can affect the child is trauma, whether it is in the form of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. In the video Jonathan who is seventeen years old at the time the film was created was labeled a psychopath because he committed first-degree murder, killing his classmate Mike because he always bullied him. Jonathan describes how his twin brother died seven months after being born and when his parents divorce and he went to live with his mother and she became overprotective and controlling of him by not letting him do things that normal kids were doing at his age. Jonathan felt as though he needed to get away from his mother for a long time; and he felt that killing the boy would give him a lot of time away. During his trial he did not show any emotions, but admitted to having emotions but not able to show them, and also remember what Mike’s grandmother said about how Mike thought her how to email and even though he was dead she
was still writing him emails. “A psychopath is an individual who has the inability to empathize with other people”(Law, 2007). It’s not always the trauma that causes a psychotic break; most breaks occur from the reaction the trauma. Parenting is suppose to consist of taking care of your children as well as uplift them and praise them for doing well on things such as school and being a productive member of society, sometimes parents fail their children whether it is teaching those moral values, protection and security or simply not being the parents they need. In the case of Jonathan and the school project he made with his father, his mother made him feel like it was not good enough failing to praise him for his work and made him angry causing his break point.
“Most people have a barrier that stops them from committing crime; psychopaths lack the ambition to not commit crimes as well as not being afraid of the consequences”(Law, 2007). Many things factor into the psychological aspect of why people become psychopaths, maybe during their childhood years a person who experiences trauma that is not dealt with it; might cause the person to reach the break point and then they end up hurting someone. When parents physically, mentally, and emotionally abuses their children they run the risk of the children turning twisted and possibly becoming what it’s deemed a psychopath.
