Inclusion refers to the act or practice of including students with disabilities in regular school classes (Merriam-Webster, 2015). Segregation however, refers to the separation for special treatment or observation of individuals or items from a larger group, e.g. the segregation of gifted children into accelerated classes (Merriam Webster, 2015). Students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are capable learners. Without the accompaniment of other disabilities ADHD children have the full potential to learn and be successful at completing tasks. Students with ADHD should be placed in main stream schools. Due to the lack of available resources in St.vincent and the Grenadines it would be best to segregate ADHD students. The fact that if an ADHD child were to be placed in each primary and secondary school at different levels the number of trained teachers that would be needed are not available and there may be a shortage in materials needed to do hands on activities. Placing ADHD children in the same learning environment with normal children may result in them being discriminated against and bullied by others because they are different. This can have a negative impact on an ADHD child mentally and sometimes physically and it also would affect their learning ability. Although providing healthier and less sugary snacks at lunch and break time would be beneficial to all students, it also comes with a cost that would be very expensive and all parents may not be able to afford it which would then put a strain on both the school and the government. So in this case it would be best to place all students with ADHD in a segregated school, where the necessary resources needed would be available to the students and teachers. In segregation ADHD children would be amongst other children who are the same, this would help improve their feelings of belonging, boost their self-esteem and build bonds. This would have a great impact on ADHD students due to the fact that they would be given the resources needed to
