India of My Dreams
Who is responsible for all that ails India? What is the India of my dreams?

Dr. Abdul Kalam had once asked a little girl, what was her dream for India? The reply “I dream of a developed India”.

This impressed him and Ito be honest this is also ‘My dream’. I dream of an India where every one is educated, there is employment for all and everyone is satisfied and happy.

I dream of an India, where many scientists are engaged in doing significant researches, an India, which would be known for great scientific and technological advancements, an India where the likes of Tata’s and Birla’s would come up with new inventions, leaving the whole world amazed, great minds of the world guessing as to how the impossible was achieved An India, which is a leader not only in making new discoveries/inventions but also in spirituality, an India with an excellent net work of roads and bridges connecting even the remotest parts An India, where sustainable growth and development go hand in hand.

Every person plants and cares for a minimum of 10 to 20 trees in his life time, where wild life is safe from poachers, where Man lives in harmony with Nature, where no one is afraid of speaking the truth and where there is no corruption.

Women are respected and people from all religions co-exist and where every Indian is proud of being an Indian. Where people are not afraid of leaving their houses open and there is no crime in the country, everyone is satisfied.

I dream of an India where market places, roads are spotlessly clean, where the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained where garbage is not spilling on the roads and animals are not roaming around on the streets.

I dream of an India, where farmers are respected as much as any other professional, where people are not superstitious, an India which is not only superior in science and technology but also in sports, where we are able to win maximum medals in Olympics and other international games,

I am dreaming about having a perfect day somewhere in India or Goa, the place, which is not spoilt by civilization. I would probably wake up around 10 a.m. and tuck into a delicious Indian breakfast or pancakes with lots of jam and different kinds of fruit. Later on, I`d lie in a hummock, sipping fresh coconut milk through a straw and reading a good book. Then, having had delicious lunch, I might meet some of my best friends and we would go for a nice long walk along the coast.…

I love my India not because it is my mother-country. The people around me are lovely. The tradition is something unique. My mother-tongue is the most beautiful language on the earth. The natural beauty spread all over India is really enchanting. The religious touch that we could find among Indians is heart-touching. Besides all these factors, there are many other aspects of India which have attracted my attention to keep me loving it. I want to state only two aspects here becausWe speak different languages. Every 25 kilometer entertains different culture. All the major religions are followed here. Communal clashes are the nature of the day. Political parties are diverse at national as well as the regional level. In spite of all these differences, we feel ONE when it becomes the matter of Indianism. The warmth and hospitality of the Indian people get deepened in spite of this diversity. The economic renaissance is amazing in the recent past. The economic progress of the people has maintained the unity of the people. Indian philosophy of life which is also called is called Sanatan Dharma is prime factor to sustain this unity in diversity.…
