Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and King Arthur are related in many ways. The similarities between this legend and this movie has stood out to a lot of people for having very similar stories. The ties are very distinctive and one major one would include how Indiana and his crew take on a quest to go find the holy grail as did Arthur’s knights during the Arthurian legend. The quest that they embark on are very similar, but some specific events that happened differ.
When Indy is shown in his classroom he is bombarded by students needing help. He escapes all of the chaos and he slips through the window. He then meets very mysterious people (three to be exact). This symbolizes when Morgan Le Fay takes Lancelot while he is sleeping to their layer. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade the Arthurian legends with a great deal of respect and dignity. The movie does not try to copy what was already told with King Arthur’s legends. There are similarities, but the similarities are not an exact replica. When it comes to Henry and Indiana Jones I can see them as being Arthur and Lancelot. At first Isla Schneider is more like Guenivere, but as time went on I can see her turning more into Morgan Le Fay. The time period during this period does not show many prominent women. Indiana Jones’s dad, Henry, created the diary with all of his finding that he has found. When Isla and the Nazis seize the diary (and achieve it successfully) they get pretty cocky and do not care as much to keep it a secret. When Isla is walking away from the ceremony that has people gathered around Swastikas the diary is cunningly taken by Indiana Jones. With that being said I believe that the diary symbolizes King Arthur’s sword named
