Sativa or Indica
Marijuana is a unique drug because it is literally a plant, therefore many types or strains exist with a variety of effects and looks. The idea that all marijuana does the same thing is very wrong and asking any group of people who have used it before and you’ll get a variety of explanations on what it does to you. There are generally two main types of marijuana, cannabis sativa and cannabis indica. Both have very differing effects on the body and a wide range of uses. Hemp is the fiber that comes from the plant cannabis and is used for so many things it’s ridiculous.

This dark green plant, with its short thick leaves grows more outward and bush like. It was originally found in places such as Afghanistan, Morocco, and Tibet. The growing cycle is also drastically shorter compared to that of most sativa strains, only taking around 6-8 weeks to fully mature. Smoke produced by this type of cannabis can range from a very potent skunk smell to a nice and fruity. The high given to you by this type of marijuana is very body centered. It chills you out and relaxes the body giving you the unmotivated feeling of doing nothing that day or watching a movie eating some fatty foods and going to sleep. Medically this type of marijuana is most useful in helping to alleviate chronic body pains such as arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.
