Being heavily influenced by Ralph Emerson as shown in his story “Walrden”. In which he states “That Government is best which governs not at all” which shows his steady belief in the individual rather than the whole.
Jon Krakquer believed in individuals and has a more practical view of nature compared to the other transcendetalist. Jon Krakquer is the only individual out of these four to write a complete non-fiction story. In his book *Into the Wild* he shows his more practical view on nature. When he opens the book with the death of McCandless he is showing that nature can kill just as much as it can help. When writing his book Jon would travel to country talking to a multitude of non-philosophical people who can show their views on what a transcendentalist speaks and how he acts.
