Inevitable Conundrum Of Mistakes
The inevitable conundrum of mistakes, they have been stereotyped and forced upon the world to never be created. But, as previously stated, mistakes are inevitable. A positive effect of mistakes is a discovery. (But, discovery meant in its generalist form.) Most commonly used household items were mistakes. I believe that mistakes are a key part of discovery. Without mistakes some of the things we know today may have never come to be. For example, in the passage, “How a Melted Bar of Chocolate Changed Our Kitchens,” it stated, “Standing by the Magnetron one day while it was on, Spencer noticed that the bar of chocolate in his pocket melted. He had a moment of realization. He asked for popcorn kernels, and put them near the heat. Minutes later, the man we can thank for microwave popcorn had a discovery on his hands.” This passage meant to say that because Spencer stood by the Magnetron the chocolate bar in his pocket melted. Now many may think of that as a mistake, but if that wouldn’t of happened than he most likely would not have discovered the microwave, an important kitchen appliance.…

Mistakes and errors have another purpose; they tell when to change direction. When things aren’t going smoothly, people think of new ideas. Roger Von oech mentions a client, a division manager from a high-tech company, asking his vice president of engineering what percentage of their new products should be a success in the market business. The answer he received was “about 50%.” The division manager replied, “That’s too high. 30% is a better target; otherwise we’ll be too conservative in our planning. In conclusion Roger Von Oech wants everyone to take advantage of their mistakes and learn from them for new better…

He states that to err is what separates the human mind and superhuman, electronic minds. While computers have the capacity to produce an infinite amount of precise calculations, glitches and errors will still be made, and the corrections made by humans. He mentions that the knack of being wrong is "a uniquely human gift" and that it should be used as "a guide for action." Thomas stresses the significance of error as a motivation to illicit the appropriate response ‑ correction ‑ in order to know.…

My mother had to immigrate to the United States from Mexico. I know first hand how it is like to be born to immigrants and she is anything but a criminal.
