I’ve been shaped into the man I am today hanks to the help of my grandparents and even though my mother was not really around she has changed my life and influenced me into becoming the person I am today. I look back to when I was young and my mother was never there. Not because she had abandoned me, but because she was just diagnosed with cancer. She had spent a lot of my childhood in and out of the hospital. My mother always had something nice or influential to say to me about sports.my mother has been a lot more to me than just a mother; she is my mother, coach, teacher, and best friend. I can talk to her about anything and she is always ready to help me. My mom has influenced and driven me to do well in school and to try my best into playing sports. Whether its practice or a game I always leave it all on the field. But I and my mom have that connection because not only has she taught me the games of basketball, baseball, and football but she has also coached me in all of the sports above. She has inspired me to make her proud every time I step onto that field and always do the best I can. There is no exception for losing because I always wanted to win for her. The drive you get from winning a game with your mother as your coach is unbelievable. I feel so happy and have the biggest smile on my face when I see her eyes light up after we have won. Even though I and my mom have our ups and downs our bond can never be broken. She has inspired me into becoming the athlete and smart well-mannered person I am today. I know that at the end of the day she is proud of me and the things she has taught me will stay with me forever. My mother has defiantly changed my life. I am lucky to have a mom who is such a caring, loving, and understanding as her. To have a mother who is a part of your life 24/7 and is there to right your wrongs and help to fix your mistakes is something any kid could wish for. I know that I would not be here today if my mom was not always by my side to push me to the next lever and drive me to achieve more than capable. I know the rights I have done weight out the wrongs in her life. Her influences on me have taught me many lessons such as to never give up, strive for higher success, hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard, and more. The lessons have made me what I am today.
Without my mother I don’t know what kind of person I would have turn out to be and I never want to live long enough to see it. I love the person I have become and it is all thanks to her I love her and thank her for all the inspiration and motivation she has given me in life.

While growing up my parents put me in all kinds of sports; baseball, basketball, soccer and the list goes on. One day, at the age of six, while my mom and I sat at the dining room table looking at the Sunday paper we saw an ad for cheerleading tryouts. Twenty years ago she came into my life and because of her I am a better person. If not for her I never would have been so dedicated and excited to play sports. Thanks to Aim my life revolved around sports and this allowed me to release my frustrations and be a part of team. She once said to me “Teddy your team is an extension of your family and family is all any of us have.” She was the best member any family could ever have and I am honored to call her my aunt. Before she officially became my aunt she was my mentor, my coach and my biggest fan. From her I learned to take pride in my actions, to do my best and to never take people for granted. One time she took me to one of our many wrestling meets and I had to wrestle a girl. I was 13 years old and had been raised to never hurt a female. The girl beat me by points because I couldn’t go all out and I was extremely embarrassed. She consoled me and assured me that it was just a fluke. Then later that day I had to face the…

First and foremost, there is my mother. She has served her role as my mother dutifully and out of love. That would explain any mother in this world. However, she has gone beyond that and has provided a very nurturing childhood while growing up. Growing up in India, there was a large emphasis on academic success. For some of my friends, that meant doing well and succeeding called for praise while failure was simply looked at with disgust. My mother never judged me for my successes or failures. She acknowledged my successes, but also taught me how to learn with my failures. This applied not only to school, but also to sports. Perhaps, this is why I excelled in both. I received the encouragement and proper guidance I needed. Furthermore, my mom always had a calm attitude. She never worked with a hot temper. I learned how to be patient and how to deal with problems that came my way. Thus, my mom did not only provide me with an exemplary childhood, she role modeled and taught me positive life skills. I always refer back to a problem in terms of what my own mother would do.…
