All the children take a bath

No concerns

When I arrived at the home all the children were upstairs watching TV with the exception of Emily and Cody who were in the living room playing. Miss Orbach was sitting at the dining room table making appointments for the children. Cody has been assigned a ADHD therapist who is also certified in autism. Miss Orbach was on the phone with him setting up an appointment for Friday. So, he could meet with Cody and her. When she got the phone, she called the children down to start doing their chores. She went to the bottom of the stairs and she yelled for Benjamin four times before she was able to get a response from him. When he finally did respond, he yelled back “what”. She said “I've called you so we can do chores tell the rest of the kids to come down” Benjamin told her that he did not want to come down until he finished watching his TV show. Miss Orbach and Benjamin yelled back and forth on the staircase for about 5 minutes. Then Miss Orbach realized that Benjamin never came to the staircase to physically see what she wanted. She then went upstairs in the children's bedroom and turned the TV off. Benjamin got up and said sorry. He and all the other children came downstairs.

The child was having a bad day because he was teething and did not take his nap. The child finally fell asleep in the playpen that Jamie had in the kitchen. Jamie didn’t want to wake the child so she went across the hall to see if the neighbor could watch the child while she went to her AA meeting. The neighbor was home but wanted to stay at her house so Jamie set up a baby monitor and gave the neighbor the other baby monitor to listen in on the child. Jamie was stressed that day and on the way to her meeting she decided to stop by the bar. When she was there she ordered a drink but did not drink it because she knew that it was not the right thing to do and she had come so far that she didn’t want to screw up now. She decided to go straight home to see the child and did not relapse. Dana Dowright (Social Worker), Berry and Jamie’s social worker saw Jamie at the bar. The family was referred by a psychiatrist who had been seeing Claudia, but felt the whole family needed to be in therapy. The first session was a challenge, the family agreed to go in all together only for the initial session and they were not very comfortable to begin with. The mother Caroline felt the problem that should be address was the issues their teen daughter was having and she did not believe the entire family should be there. Both the mother and daughter came in angry to the therapy session and there was a lot of tension in the room. The father was respectful and stated he was happy to be there, but his body language told the therapist he has not comfortable being there. The youngest daughter Laura seemed to be in a cheerful mood with high energy. The youngest son Don did not show up for the first session. I am not sure that you noticed that the ratio set at the center for the room is 1 to 3. I was worried about the children’s safety since I was all by myself with four children at that time. I wonder if you have any suggestion that we could solve this problem together.” (Wait for Teresa’s…

One theme that is great for any age boy is a cabin theme. This is perfect for little boys and older boys because most boys enjoy camping in the outdoors or even fishing or hiking. The best thing about this type of room theme is it can even bring back pleasant memories for each parent. Decorating the room is easy you simply have to find wallpaper borders that remind you of a cabin in the woods, which can be moose or even bears. You can use animal themed bedding or you can choose plaid patterns, which the plaid often reminds you of flannel pajamas that you wear in the winter while camping out. You can add natural accessories or you can buy stuff to help decorate the room, you can even use rustic furniture, such as wooden chests for toys and a log style bed.…

I suddenly felt that it hadn’t been Mr. Clifton; maybe it had been someone else. When I picked my daughter up that afternoon I began to try and talk to her. Before I could bring up anything of that matter, her mouth began to pour critical details. She began to talk about one of the high school aids at the daycare, Sean. She discussed how Sean was “the coolest” and that he would give the kids prizes. I began asking what the prizes were for. Amelia had said that Sean would give those prizes if they would do certain things that would please Sean and if they wouldn’t tell…

On the night of Halloween in JK Rowling’s novel Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and his friend, Ron Weasley enjoy a meal in the Hogwart’s dining hall. During this scene, the author describes the banquet hall through describing the foods being served at each table and the decorations in the hall, such as floating pumpkin heads, replacing the usual floating candles. To apply Foster’s ideas presented in Chapter Two of his novel, How to Read Literature Like a Professor to Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the scene depicted in Rowling’s novel was described in such a way that the reader feels as if they are a part of the characters as they enjoy a celebratory meal. Within this joyful communion, unity is depicted…

Setting: I observed Anna, age four years and five months, on March 24, 2006, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Preschool. I observed for two and one-half hours from 9:15 am to 11:45 am. The preschool has three teachers and a full enrollment of 24 children, ages four and five, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They also have 24 children, age three, on Tuesday and Thursday. On the Friday that I visited, there were 21 children in attendance. There is a large enclosed play area outside. There is a large covered sandbox area with several toys including large plastic scoops, a large metal spoon, plastic bowls, shovels and buckets, a large play structure with a slide and climbing apparatus, a log cabin play house with several tools; such as plastic hammers, wrenches, and saws. There is a big sidewalk that goes around the perimeter of the yard where the children ride the tricycles. There are six tricycles but they were not out for use on the day that I observed. Inside there are many areas for playing and learning. There is a small room that has a cradle, dolls, blankets, dress-up clothes and shoes for girls, child size furniture; table, sink, dishes, and other kitchen items. Also kept in this room is a large roll of paper that can be cut to any length for drawing and painting. In this room is where one of the teachers meets for story time with her group of eight children. The large room is divided into two parts for the other two teachers and their groups when it is story time. The accordion divider is opened when the individual group time is over. In the large room are many different activity stations; easel with two sides for drawing with markers and paints, a fish tank with several fish, papers and crayons, table with small wooden puzzles with numbers on the pieces, small hard rubber birds, owls, and pelicans, a table with a hard plastic surface that lights up, a table with rocks and a magnifying glass, a table with Legos, an area for wooden…

I am walking around the garden observing the children whilst they are playing. Suddenly, child A falls off the activity centre and lands on her bottom. I walk over to her and ask her “are you ok?” She looks at me with tears in her eyes and nods. I bend down to her and ask her “are you sure?” She looks at me and shakes her head. I then take her hand, help her up, and lead her over to the teacher. I explain to the teacher “child A fell off the activity centre and landed on her bottom. I asked child A if she was ok and she shook her head.” The teacher then said to child A “are you hurt?” Child A looked at the teacher and nodded. The teacher then asked me “can you take her to the office please to see the first aider?” I answered “ok.” I looked at child A and said “come on, it’s ok.” I took child A to the office and the first aider, and told the first aider “child A fell off the activity centre and landed on her bottom.” The first aider handed me an accident form to fill out whilst she looked at child A.…

I can hear the men, already drunk, roaring with laughter in the banquet hall, yet the night is still young. My maid tucks the final curl under my jeweled crown and says, “You are ready, Queen Itani.” With my head held high, I carefully walk toward the sound of the men's banter, arriving at the banquet hall. My husband, King Belshazzar, rises to greet me, thankfully more sober than most of the nobles. The room erupts in applause as Belshazzar leads me to a couch the dais, gazing at me adoringly.…
