Informative Essay On Gun Control
Gun Control

The topic “Gun Control” is usually misunderstood. Most people think it means that the government is trying to take away their guns, but it’s not. The government wants more control over the guns, like who can obtain them, and how they can be obtained. I think that guns can’t be controlled better, so i am against gun control. Keeping guns safe and hard to obtain is a crucial part of gun control. People shouldn’t just be able to walk into a store and buy a gun easily. Certification and a license are necessary to buy a gun and i think that is enough control. People can use guns to protect their family, and they use guns to hunt to provide food for their family. For example, people in Alaska hunt and get food for their families.

What would be going through your mind if you were in a restaurant and a mad man came in and began slaughtering people right and left including you family (Swasey 174)? Would you be thinking if they would ban guns this would have never happened? Probably not! What you were probably thinking is if I had a gun on me I could protect not only my family but also the others being slaughtered. This same scenario was on the mind of Suzanna Gratia as written in Elizabeth Swasey essay ”NRA Woman’s Voice”(174). People are starting to see a gun as an object of death and destruction, and not what they are intended to be.…

Gun control should not be in force because it only affects the people who follow the laws. If weapons were banned, that is, putting gun control into effect, the people who follow laws won’t be able to protect themselves from people who don’t abide by the laws. The main purposes of fire arms is self- protection and hunting. So if the government tries to take our weapons away from us we can just throw the 2nd amendment at them and tell them that this is unconstitutional. We understand they are trying to cut down on crime, but it is actually making the crime rates go up. In Britain the government thought it would bring the crime/murder rate down but, it actually increased about 1 million more deaths each year. The government is trying to get is ammo they are trying to limit ammo manufactures to a certain amount of ammo a day. They are also making people go into havoc and making them go crazy over ammo, so people are buying…

Guns are a way to protect our families, stop criminals, and a way to hunt to provide food for families. Some people abuse guns and bring harm to others which is horrible. There should not be a law on gun control. This law restricts those who own them to protect themselves and restricts them from having a firearm. Gun control is a very large problem going on in the United States today. All guns have the potential to be dangerous and should be used with precautions, as well as the right safety regulations. Guns can be hazardous and tragic accidents can happen, like the Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut, but only if they are in the hands of the wrong person. Guns are not only used every day for protection, such as law enforcement like the military and the police, but guns are also used for recreational activities such as hunting. The second amendment states that we have the right to bear arms, which also means we have the right to own a gun to protect ourselves and our families not only from criminals, but also from the government. So therefore the prohibition of guns or stricter laws on gun control is unconstitutional and not morally correct. I believe gun control in the United States should not necessarily be eliminated, but reduced greatly.…

Gun Control is when you keep firearms of any type, including handguns, High power rifles and even low caliber hunting rifles such as a .22 long rifle away from people. Many people think that gun control is the right way to go because they think keeping guns away from people will lower the death rate of people by guns. Also, just whenever people hear the word gun, the thoughts of violence and negativity pop into the heads of many people, myself included, think gun control is wrong because we know that it is not necessary, since we know that guns were not involved in a large percentage of deaths caused each year. While many other people disagree and think that a law will keep guns out of people's hands and keep them safer. All laws do is keep…

Gun Control is a huge issue in the United States. It was declared in our constitution in the 2nd amendment that we have the right to bear arms. Every person is entitled through the second amendment to legally own and use fire arms. There are many issues that have come up with gun control: conceal and carry, semi-automatic weapons, and gang violence. Many people in this beautiful country we call the United States, feel like they need to take away the right to bear arms. To me I believe this is wrong. I believe you should be able to legally own and operate a weapon in a safe and secure manner. Anyone that is a law abiding citizen should be able to own a firearm.…
