ensures that the person does not get sick when injected by the vaccine. This can be found present in our body as part of our natural metabolic process. Aluminum helps by strengthening the immune system so people only need fewer doses of vaccines, an average infant ingests 7mg of aluminum in breast milk and infant formula. When we ingest most of these ingredient’s in our daily lives it shouldn’t be an issue having very small doses in vaccines to protect your children.
Vaccinations assist those who are vaccinated but, it also helps people who can’t be vaccinated due to health reasons or age. For example, newborn babies, elderly people, people with weak immune systems, people with HIV or people on treatments such as chemotherapy all rely on herd community. When a critical portion of a community is immunized against a contagious disease, members who cannot get immunized are protected. Furthermore, if most of the population are immunized then there is little opportunity for an outbreak.
Many people believe that there is no need for vaccines against contagious diseases that no longer exist. However, this is not the case for countries like Pakistan which have had 93 cases in 2013 and 71 cases in 2014 of polio which is rarely present in Canada. Vaccines are also essential for people who travel, a lady who was unvaccinated traveled to the Philippines in May 2014 bringing back measles. By June 5th 2014 155 people became infected. Although there are low rates of vaccine-preventable diseases in Canada or the states, it’s only a plane ride away. Andre Jeremy Wakefield was a medical researcher who published a case study which suggested that the measles, Mumps and rubella vaccines cause autism.
This study was known for being scientific fraud due to the fact that parents refused to get their children vaccinated out of fear. Thereby putting their children at risk of disease. Two studies in 2011 and 2013 both proved that there is no link between receiving vaccines and developing autism. It’s ridiculous to know people still think that vaccines and autism are linked. At this point people will use any information given to them especially invalid information to use against …show more content…
vaccinations. When I think of vaccines I think of seatbelts there not 100% effective at protecting you while driving, but they significantly reduce your risk of being Injured.
Parents are still taking the risk of not vaccinating their children and sticking with natural immunity. The facts prove that vaccines are effective so why put your children in such a vulnerable situation? In America 732,000 children’s lives were saved from death in the past 20 years due to vaccines. In addition, 322 million cases of illnesses were prevented from 1994 to 2014. Another example states that the death rate for measles decreased by 74% in children all because of vaccines. By taking action and getting people vaccinated were preventing disease which prevents losing productivity due to disability and early death. It’s always easier and cheaper to prevent disease than to treat it. If people are in very good health, then we increase social development and economic growth in society. Yes, vaccines are expensive but the end results of vaccines are so beneficial. Spending money on vaccines help parents save money later when their kids are protected and not getting sick. Our money goes towards vaccines being safe and going through the proper evaluations and testing. By spending money now were all saving money for the future. Overall, I believe that vaccines should be implemented by the government and made mandatory. Preventing disease can be made easy if everyone chooses to vaccinate keeping everybody safe
including people who cannot vaccinate. Nobody should have the right to put other people at risk which makes vaccines very important in today’s society.
