Title: Japan and the city of Shibuya
Topic: The City of Shibuya

Specific Purpose: To inform my colleagues about some of the regulations and reliable information of the city, Shibuya. How Japan can be a cool place too.
Thesis Statement: Before we judge people by their looks and what race they might be. Its important to understand where they come from and what they have been through.

Introduction

Attention Materials: In the movie “Tokyo Drift”, Shibuya Crossing was used in one of the scene where the drivers competing each other make an astonishing drift in slow motion. (35 Seconds Clip)
Thesis Statement: Before we judge people by their looks and what race they might be. Its important to understand where they come from and what they have been through.
Preview: We need to understand about a little bit about Japan, the city of Shibuya’s history, places and areas, and the education it provides.

(Transition: First we will discuss the simple facts about Japan, then going into detail of Shibuya)

Body

I. Shibuya is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. A. The name "Shibuya" is also used to refer to the central business district of Shibuya Ward. B. Shibuya Station, one of Tokyo's busiest railway stations C. Shibuya is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area.

(Transition: When has is become such a popular district)

II. How Shibuya found its way to one of the busiest district in Japan. A. Shibuya began to emerge as a railway terminal for southwestern Tokyo and eventually as a major commercial and entertainment center. B. It was incorporated as a village in 1889, as a town in 1909, as a ward of Tokyo City in 1932 C. Well known story of Hachiko.

(Transition: Now that we have a better understanding about Shibuya, lets look at what it has to offer us)
