Informative Speech In College

I thought that my Informative Speech went very well. There were a few things that I think I can improve on, but other than those little hiccups I think that I executed it very well. To prepare for the speech, I practiced three times. One time in front of my mother, one time in front of my whole family, then on time by myself. These practices really helped me feel more confident about what I was going to say and help me figure out what I needed to add and or put in to make the speech better. I felt like I did well after I finished my speech. I didn’t use any flashcards while I was up in front of the class so I thought that I went well. I didn’t stutter or lose my place because I practiced a few times before hand. I also thought that
This was different from my SHIELD speech because I practiced more and I decided not to even make flashcards to help me. During the SHIELD speech I had made notecards beforehand to help me while I was up there. Right off the bat I put them down on the table while I was trying to get my shield to stay on the stand. While I was going through the speech I didn’t once refer to my cards and I actually forgot about them all together. After the speech was done I noticed the cards that I had made and it dawned on me that I didn’t even use them. That helped me save time for the informative speech because I decided to not even bother making cards for my speech because I know that I wouldn’t even use them. This also helped me be more confident while I was up there because I didn’t need any help to say my speech and I knew that I couldn’t mess up. I like not having notecards while I am up there because I feel like I can take the speech anywhere and at my own pace and if I forget something I wouldn’t be frantically looking around at my cards to see where I should be and how to fix it, I can just keep the speech flowing and not miss a beat. Next time around when I do a speech I will not make notecards again. I just feel more
