A. Attention Getter: How would you feel if you couldn’t remember simple things such as your family, any special memories, or even who you were? Alzheimers is a disease that affects the memory of middle to older age people by breaking down the brain cells.
B. Credibility Statement: I have firsthand seen the affects of the disease as it runs in my family.
C. Audience Relevence: It is statisticly shown that 1 in 10 people have alzheimers once theyr’e the age of 65 or older.
D. Thesis: Azheimers is a noncurable disease that has many causes and effects that can be prevented.

II. BODY
A. Alzheimers has a number of causes.
1. The leading cause of the disease depends on age. Since the disease affects older indivuduals, the risk increases around the age of 65 and continues increasing (Causes of Alzheimer’s Disease, 2016).

Family history and genetics play a large role in acquiring the disease. For people whose grandparents or parents have it are very likely to get it as they get older (Cause of Alzheimer’s Disease, 2016).

B. The effects of Alzheimers are all centered around ones failing brain cells and they unfortunately can’t be cured.
1. It is very hard for people with this disease to remember information. This information can be anything from previous knowledge to recent information (Symptoms of Alzheimer’s, 2017).
2. A few everyday symptoms include things such as changes in mood, changes in behavior, strong confusion, and difficulty doing ordinary things such as talking or walking ( Symptoms of Alzheimer’s, 2017).
