In 1903 the Tour De France Organizers decided to include the Pyrenees in the bike route. This was a very odd decision because the roads were extremely unforgiving. The trails were covered in potholes and yet there have been many
great successes in going through it. This place has been a part of the Tour De France for more than 100 years. There was, however a short break for WW1 and WW2. The ride is about 2,262 miles that means it takes approximately 39 hours to complete. This tournament begins on July 6th and ends on July 14th.
The economy in the Pyrenees is very nice. They are known for mining zinc and talc. They are wealthy in their amount of timber and pastures. They use water from streams as hydraulic power. Many people partake in stock raising and agriculture. People enjoy it there for their widespread beauty and the never ending scenery. People have been traveling there for years and they do not intend on stopping.
