Informative Speech On Sharia

For those of you pondering the thought of visiting the picturestic beaches of Indonesia, I would think twice. Especially, if youre a tourist who is a homosexual or if your plans dont include swimming with pants on. This is to also include anyone who is Christain by faith because Sharia Law is in full effect in this tropical paradise. Dont believe me, just ask the families of 8 drug runners from other countries who were were delt death by firing squad in 2015.

Religous police are on the prowl and recently they have claimed their first non muslim resident. An elderly lady was caned in public and recieved 28 lashes as a result of selling booze which violated goverment law. Her original sentence was 30 lashes but fortunitly they gave credit for time served. The 60 year old lady,Remita Sinaga , opted to recieve the lashing rather than spend time in jail which has quite the contrast from American facilities. Residents of this town as well as visitors are free to practice their religion of choice and until last year they werent held to punishment under the Islamic criminal code.Now they have a choice,the central government granted Aceh the right to impose its version of sharia, or Islamic law. However in 2015 new by laws were initiated which extended the reach of Sharia Law to include those of all faiths. Residents and/or tourist can choose to subject themselves to the punishments included within Sharia or they can accept the stricter judgement handed down by the court officials which dont include the Isalmic prosecution.
Goverment Law: Sex out of wedlock and same-sex sexual acts are punishable by 100 lashes or 100 months in prison. So remember before you visit other countries to educate yourself on their laws. Because if not you might find yourself choosing which form of Justice to accept so you can still catch your flight back
