Google is a United States-headquartered, multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products. These include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software. Most of its profits are derived from AdWords, an online advertising service that places advertising near the list of search results. The mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Google has generated about $21 billion in revenue last year. The majority of that revenue, well over 95%, comes from advertising via its search engine and its AdSense program, which places ads on millions of websites" (Parr, n.d.). “The current pre-dominant business model for commercial search engines is advertising" (Spencer, n.d.). Google 's search engine has ranked number 1 in the Alexa index proving itself to be the leader in search engine usage. This can also be noted that Google has become synonymous with web search. Most often people will google for information than search for it. "The other side of Google 's hugely successful business plan is innovation" (Spencer, n.d.). This is demonstrated in the products and services that Google incorporates into its brand for its customers. It is not only the products and services that make Google such a great company, it’s the people they hire that makes the company a place where you are treated like family. Google hire people who brings ideas, goals and visions to the company that want to succeed. They have maintained an open culture often associated with startups, in which everyone is a hands-on contributor and feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. The Google culture consists of various ethnic backgrounds which include technical, non-technical and management teams. The company has publicly showed their numbers on their
