The ways of Buddhism is one of the oldest teachings from ancient history and now stands as the third largest religion. Founded by Guatama, Buddhism was created in India. With Buddhism being born in India, it shares similarities to Hinduism, which created many varieties of Buddhism. Buddhism today is not expressed as a single religion because there are many types of Buddhists. Two main types of Buddhism came about, which are the Theravadas and the Mahayana Buddhists. With the world evolving and technological advances in the modern era today, they have conflicted with the religion of Buddhism today.
Siddhartha, who was a family member of the Guatama clan, is the founder of the religion Buddhism. Guatama was a son under his father, the king Kshatriya raja called Suddhodana. Guatama was sheltered as a child and was not to see any kind of suffering or decaying of life, especially an ascetic monks lifestyle. He was surrounded by health and youth his entire life growing up. As he grew, Guatama saw the ugly side of life that his father sheltered him from. He realized life always contained suffering no matter what. He journeyed to various schools of philosophy, then went onto try as an ascetic monk, which his father condoned as he grew up, yet found no satisfaction. From there, he meditated till he became enlightened. When enlightened it was there on he was known as Buddha. During Guatama’s meditation, he found that life was an endless cycle because of desire, thirst, and craving. Buddha taught that extreme indulgence and the way of asceticism should not be practiced, for you should seek to live in the middle way, a balance in life. Buddha was open to everyone to teach the Buddhist way, so that everyone could reach his or her own enlightenment. Buddha was not open to the Brahmin system that many Hindus follow or the sacrifice of any animal. Buddha has many teachings from Hinduism, but the gods are thought to be mortal beings that all face the laws of karma
