Introduction
In this report it will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of one of the world’s most famous footballers: David Beckham. It will consider the career that David has created for himself and how he has become one of the most influential role models in the world of football through the commercial side of him becoming a global brand.
It will then go on to describe how David has grown up and made a family of his own, marrying Victoria Beckham, a previous member of the world famous girl band “The Spice Girls” and how they went on to have 4 children together; Harper Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham, Romeo Beckham and Cruz Beckham, although he had being accused of an alleged affair with his personal assistant Rebecca Loos and on another occasion with Malaysian-born Sarah Marbeck, daughter of barrister.
The third part of this report will then compare how he’s become a global brand which became an advantage into his career with his alleged affairs which became a disadvantage to his status as a world role model.
Career
David Beckham is one of the best English football players ever to play the sport. He has the ability to deliver a pinpoint crosses, passes from anywhere on the pitch. David’s ability to bend his signature free kicks around and over a defensive wall during a game and successfully scoring from different positions on the pitch was just the start of him becoming the player he turned out to be. His career changed positively and dramatically when he scored from the half way line for Manchester United football club.
