Install Eclipse on Your Machine Using the Following Installer File
1) Install eclipse on your machine using the following installer file. [eclipse-jee-europa-winter-win32.zip]. Download it from internet or find in the package of the CD. Eclipse will act as the development IDE for the project.

Recommendation:

i) Windows XP or Higher

ii) 2 GB RAM. With 32 bit or 64 bit machine.

2) Down load the GWT from google site (http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/download.html) OR find it in the package of the CD. The GWT SDK contains the Java API libraries, compiler, and development server. It allows to you write client-side applications in Java and deploy them as JavaScript.

3) Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.3 (Europa) Installation Instructions.

i) Start Eclipse, then select Help > Software Updates > Find and Install... In the dialog that appears, select Search for new features to install and click Next.

ii) Click New Remote Site. Enter a name for the update site (for example, Google Update Site for Eclipse 3.3) and the following value for the URL: http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/3.3. Click OK.

iii) The newly-added site is checked to indicate that it will be searched for features to install. Also select the checkbox for Europa Discovery Site, which provides features that the Google Plugin for Eclipse depends on. Click Finish. Please note that if you don’t get any option for Web and JEE Development after expanding Europa Discovery Site, then no need to worry about it and simply do not select the Europa Discovery Site.

You will see the pop up of update manager searching for the updates. Another pop up will come to select the mirror location of the updates. Check the option of “Automatically select mirrors”. (Figure -1)
