Back way when, families would get together for holidays and they would be eating dinner or something and the family was always very close to you but now a days families can be miles apart, for ex. one family could live in Mississippi and the parents siblings could all live in a different state and then the parents of all these kids could live in a different state along with the kids, it's just people move all over for work or interest in the state or something and the only way for the family to communicate is to text or e-mail or video chat or anything else that they can do to stay connected to each other. Kids rely on social media to express their feelings instead of talking to their parents on what is occurring in their life. One of the main reasons of family destruction is divorce. Gathered research from Oregon State University states "Divorces’ have increased 22% since 1980 in the United States” (23). Children did not have to deal with that in the past generations. That is the most prevalent occurrence in society today. This did not happen before because divorce was not socially acceptable back then. Society used to believe that marriage was permanent and spouses were meant to stay together no matter the reason. The traditional family structure in the US is considered a family support system involving two married individuals providing care and stability for their biological offspring, however this…

In prompt the adult tries to get the child to respond to the book by asking questions such as what type of cars do you see on this page? The next step is evaluation where the adult is evaluating and thinking the child’s response for example is the answer correct? By expanding the adult is both repeating and adding information to the child’s response for example, yes it is a red fire truck that is used by firefighters. Families today just do not seem to spend time with each other. The mother and father both have jobs and tend to not be home for the children after school therefore causing more independence among each member of the family. Children that have more independence make mistakes on their own without being warned about them. Independent children have no guidance and get out of hand because there is not a strong boss type figure around most of the time to help distinguish the difference between right and wrong. Eating dinner as a family is a major tradition that has been forgotten as the years have gone by and caused more separation among the family. A family 50 years ago that did not eat dinner together would be a strange one but today it seems to be of the norm. Once again, the job affects this aspect of the family as well. People are just too busy at work or too tired to even participate in dinner at home anymore. Either families just do not have time for each other anymore or they just are not together due to divorce.…

Day by day, families are losing the connection between the members that is one of the most important things to be a good family. Firstly, people miss the opportunity to spend time with their family members. Turkish families used to come together at dinner tables and those people around the table might not only be mother, father and children but also grandparents, uncles, aunts or cousins. However, people mostly have their dinner alone now and it makes the connection weaker. Likewise, people used to come together at wedding ceremonies and due to old Turkish custom "forty day, forty night ceremony", these weddings were giving a lot of time to have fun together. Nowadays, people do not arrange even one night ceremony anymore. Secondly, living in different houses, cities, even countries from other family members is much more common than the past. The first reason of this, people are more independent economically than the past so that they can afford their own life. In contrast, even married children were living with their parents and they were connected. The second reason is the increase in the number of studying children. There are a lot of people who go to university which is not in their hometown and it means they have a new life far from family.…
