Requirements Two “Midterm” Examinations 25%, 30% One Final Examination 40% Attendance 5% (Randomly Taken)
Note that there is no graded homework. If you do not keep up with the course as we go along, DO NOT EXPECT TO DO WELL ON THE EXAMS!!! This course is a survey of financial risk from both personal and commercial perspectives. Topics will include how risk is measured, how to manage it and the ethical issues surrounding the insurance mechanism. While we will discuss insurance extensively, there are many ways to manage risk and we will examine them all.
This class will move quickly!!! DROP THE CLASS NOW IF YOU HAVE COMMITMENTS THAT WILL CONFLICT WITH OUR MEETING TIME. Examinations may not be missed or made up unless there is a legitimate and verifiable excuse. Attendance will be taken up to twice at random and there will be no differentiation between excused and unexcused
