Internal Medicine Residency
Since childhood I have always had an inclination to be a doctor and serve suffering humanity. This activity became deep-rooted after seeing my father suffer from coronary artery disease. The minute to minute struggle of practitioners, their dedicated efforts, their keen insight of their patients suffering, their compassionate behaviors, their relentlessness to see each patient recover despite the chronicity of the illness. My father’s illness infused a lot of passion in me to be amongst the source that could bring cure to people languishing in various diseases. My father held the belief and passed it on to me as well that only through this great and noble profession can one derive contentment.
After completing college life, I sat for MCAT with a clear vision to become doctor. I have always been able to sustain the pressure that a doctor is required to do. My unaltered focus as a professional doctor is my vital strength. I have achieved this trait and sharpen it further while practicing medicine as patients need high morale and spirits. As a doctor, my patients look upon me and they need my support. I consider my patients as members of my family and they are therefore very much related to me. I am inclined towards this profession because I am able to bridge the distance between people suffering and myself.
