4.1 Introduction
Under this chapter, the data collected through different data collection methods and tools such as close ended questionnaires and semi structured interviews are discussed and analyzed carefully in order to assess the extent of the role of NGOs and FBOs in ensuring sustainable livelihood for PLHIV in the study area. The finding focuses mainly on answering the basic research questions. Hence, challenges of PLHIV, level of their engagement in ensuring their livelihood, efforts made by NGOs so far to address PLHIVs sustainable livelihood shall be discussed in detail.
The results and discussions are based on the data collected from close ended questionnaires and semi structured interviews from target beneficiaries, project implementing organizations and respective government representatives in the area.
Accordingly, the first part of this chapter deals with back ground discussions of the study and the second part deals with data analysis.
4.2 Demographic Characteristics of Respondents
Two FBOs and one NGO were purposely selected for the study. 110 PLHIV beneficiaries were also included in the study. Additionally, from each project, one project representative and from each woreda one government representative were participated in the study.

As indicated in table 4.1, most of the respondents (91.8%) are Female and 8.2% are male. The age distribution of respondents depicts the majority (69.5%) are in the age category between 31-40 years which means that they are in the productive age category.
