Introduction The objective of this report is to highlight the practical face of hospitality and culinary arts. The frame of my training was based on the comparison of what I have studied and learned in AHA to what I experienced in the restaurant.

Overview of the restaurant Joe’s was established in 2001 by a family of good food lovers. Located in a quiet, hidden place in Los Banos, Laguna, Joe’s is the go to place to bring one’s date, or to have an initimate meal with friends. Joe’s serves a variety of pastas and steaks, and the restaurant takes pride in serving only freshly home cooked meals. With friendly and courteous staff and a serene and homey ambiance, it’s no wonder that Joe’s has such a regular and loyal following. GMA News Online recommended the restaurant as among the top ten must-try restaurant in Los Banos, Laguna: "Here’s one restaurant where people usually spend their birthdays. Those who have been there know the reason: Joe’s has an ambiance that radiates a certain kind of intimacy.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not an exquisite building of majestic proportions. However, if you’re looking for a few good laughs and a delectable lamb chop, then a visit to Joe’s might be worth your while"

ElBulli is one of the best restaurants in the entire world and provides an extremely unique experience. It is only open 6 months of the year and getting a reservation is almost impossible. They only serve 8,000 customers a year, but get 1 to 2 million reservation attempts a year. The restaurant itself is a difficult journey, but once you are there, the atmosphere is said to feel like an artist's home. Eating at elBulli is not just a night out to dinner, it is an experience described as “Willy Wonka” and “Lab-like full of stainless steel.” Guests receive a tour of the kitchen and are then taken to a terrace that overlooks the beach for some relaxing and tasty cocktails. The Union held numerous advantages over the Confederacy at the start of the American Civil War. However, these advantages are hard to discern by merely looking at events, for the Union was unable to achieve victory for a full four years and suffered numerous defeats in the early years of the war. While the Civil War is well known for improving the civil rights of African Americans and ending slavery, it also holds other lessons in military strategy, lessons that still are apparent in the modern day world. Only through Generals Ulysses S. Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, and David Hunter’s innovative strategy of total war was the Union able to exploit its advantages and bring the war to a close.…

Jose’s is a traditional Mexican style restaurant located on the edge of a large metropolitan area in New England. The restaurant is decorated with Mexican culture from adobe walls and Spanish-Mexican furniture to mariachi background music. Customers enter through a small vestibule that opens into the dining area, which can create chaos on Friday and Saturday nights when waits are as long as 45 minutes. On top of the wait, the cook is receiving lower quality food than previously causing 12 minute prep time for meals to become 20 minutes or more.…

First, I noticed how far this place was from where I live. The restaurant was in Snellville. As we arrived the building was made of this type of stone brick. The roof was made of the red tile shingles you would usually find on the roofs of houses in California. To me when I first entered it smelled like freshly mopped floor. A group of hosts greeted us at the door with a big smile and a “Hola Senoritas!”…

The atmosphere of the restaurant has also not changed. Maintenance activities help retain that climate. Further, a knowledge of the items offered on a daily basis is a key element of the selection decision.…
