PROJECT BACKGROUND
Graz University of Technology is a public engineering school, also known as the Erzherzog Johann University. It pursues top teaching and research in the fields of the engineering sciences and the technical-natural sciences. An integral part of putting together excellent education and training programs knows about the needs of society and the economy. Ultimately, the quality of the training at Graz University of Technology is carried by the strength of its knowledge-oriented and applied research including the study of hydraulic structures and their optimization in design, fluid mechanics, construction and economy, in conjunction with relevant specialist areas(especially geotechnical), as well as the quantitative water management principles taking into account the ecological requirements of this with an international focus with a regional focus (mainly hydropower and flood control). For my internship, I am analysing the behaviour of water using the physical and numerical model. The term ‘water’ in this project refers to the flowing water such as at the river, dam, reservoir and others. The behaviour of water is differs depending mainly on the structure of the channel in the nature itself. The discharge and velocity are also change especially due to raining seasons and also sediment transportation. Most of the time, the flow of the water is in unsteady form. In this project, the water can be analysed numerically and by physical model. By means of physical model, there
