INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF STUDY.
It is conventional in almost all business schools around the global and so is in Institute of Management Studies Peshawar University that besides academic requirement the students are also required to undergo a two-month internship program with an organization.
The intense internship is followed by a comprehensive report witting, which is presented to the research and development (R&D) division of institute of Management Studies for evaluation. My internship report is about.The Bank of Khyber. I spent two months in the following department.
Credit Department.
Cash Department.
Consumer Financing.
Foreign Exchange Department.
This report is a sincere effort to jot down what has been observed and experienced during two months internship work with BOK.
1.2 PURPOSE OF STUDY
This study is the requirement not only for the completion of an BBA(Hons) degree, but also for acquiring some professionalism in an organization, so that one can understand the actual practices of transactions and the business of banks. In this manner interns are given a chance to spend time in different departments/sections of bank and learn to do actual banking transactions, which have already been studied previously. Moreover, it is also required to analyze different aspects of the organization and to forward suggestions to put right problems, which are being faced by the banks- if possible.
1.3 SCOPE OF STUDY
Scope of the study shows the limitations and delimitations. The limitations of the report are cost time and obtaining of data. The internee cannot cover each aspect of the bank in the limited available time. The scope of this report is about the departments and divisions of the bank also it includes the major functions of the bank on the branch level as ell as the analysis and suggestions with an action plan.
