We can see a clear example of irreversible communication during Natasha and Luchkov scene. Since Natasha is a hostage to the Russian general, he proceeds to tell her some info that did not need to be disclosed. He soon realizes what he has done and says “I don’t give everything” (Feige & Whedon, 2012). Even though he tries to deny what he has done, he is not able to change the message anymore. Another example of irreversible communication happens right after Natasha and Banner meet for the first time. When Banner questions that he might be surrounded, Natasha tell him that that is not the case. However, few minutes later Banner realizes that she lied to him. Natasha just looks at him not knowing how to change her previous message. Because communication is irreversible, Natasha is not able to fix her mistake of lying to Banner. It becomes more apparent that communication is irreversible when Steve says “The Stark Tower? That big ugly...building in New York?” He pauses for a few second before finishing his comment. Since Stark Tower is belongs to Tony, Steve realized that he should not be referring to the Tower in a negative way.
