1. Identify the following requirements when dealing with complaints
Legal
For the purpose of assessing, and preventing or reducing the impact of unsafe or inappropriate care or treatment, the registered person must have an effective system in place, for identifying, receiving, handling and responding appropriately to complaints and comments made by service users, or persons acting on their behalf. By law, all health and social care services must have a procedure for dealing efficiently with complaints.

So you're thinking of working in care? Well, I will explain what is meant by duty of care. Duty of care ensures that people are taken care of and we are under obligation to do this in the way that is required. This means that you need to be aware of things that may go wrong and taking the best steps to prevent it and make wise choices about the decisions that you make. Health and social care organisations have a duty of care towards the people that they look after. This basically means that the people within the establishment should be kept safe from harm. The safety, welfare and the interests of people using your service must be prioritised. Your employer also has a duty of care to provide working conditions that are safe and suitable for the service being delivered. It is my duty to take care of vulnerable adults and to ensure their needs and well-being are looked after. It is important to respect individuals bests interests by protecting them from any harm or abuse and avoiding any acts that could results in injury or distress. As a care worker I have an obligation to protect the residents that live or stay at Orchard court. The duty of care I have towards them is to ensure that their lives are made comfortable and receive a good quality of care. It is also essential that I report any mistreatment towards the residents. This is because I would be protecting them from possible harm or even injuries (which is part of the duty of care that I provide). In my role the best interests of the residents is always the main priority of all the care staff. \if I have reason to believe that a resident is not getting a good quality of care for their needs it is my responsibility to report it to prevent this from
