III. LEADING
- use of influence to motivate employees
- creating shared culture and values
- communicating goals to employees
- infusing employees with the desire to perform at a high level
IV. CONTROLLING
- monitoring employees’ activities
- determining is still on target towards its goals
- making necessary corrections
