• Computer telephony i ntegration, also called computer–telephone integration or CTI, is a common name f or any t echnology that allows interactions on a telephone and a computer t o be integrated or coordinated. • The t erm is predominantly used t o describe desktopbased interaction f or helping users be m ore efficient, though it can also refer to server- based f unctionality such as automatic call routing.
