Inventions In the 1950’s a lot of things were invented and things that may look like they were invented a couple of years back but the truth is that all the items list here were invented in the 1950’s.
Starting in 1950 the very first credit card named (Diners) invented by Ralph Schneider. Then in 1951 Super glue was invented and in the same year Power Steering AKA (steering) was invented by Francis W. Davis, and the first video tape recorder (VTR) invented by Charles Ginsburg. In 1952, people came up with Mr. Potato Head. Also Joseph Woodland and Bernard Silver came up with the Bar Code which it is used on all items on the super market. The first diet soft drink was also invented in that same year. And the final invention of that year is the
Hydrogen Bomb made by Edward Teller and his team. In 1953 Radical Tires was invented, also the very first musical synthesizer invented by RCA. In the same year the “Black Box” was invented which was a flight recorder by David Warren. And finally the radio transistor was invented by Texas Instruments. In 1954 the first non-stick pan was produced. Also the Solar Cell was invented by Chaplin, Fuller, and Pearson. And in the same year Ray Kroc started McDonalds. In 1955 Tetracycline (group of antibiotics) was invented, and also Optic Fiber was invented in the same year. In 1956 the first computer hard disk was used, and the hovercraft was invented in that year, invented by Christopher Cockerel. Then the “Mistake out” was invented then later renamed Liquid Paper which was used to paint over mistakes made on the typewriter similar to what we use today “whiteout”. In 1957, just one thing happened and that is the Fortran (computer language) was invented which is a high level programing language still used today. In 1958, the computer modem was invented, then later on Gordon Gould invents the “Laser”, also the “Hula Hoop” was invented by Richard Knerr. And on the same year the Integrated Circuit was made by Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce. Finally, the 1959, the internal “pacemaker” which was invented by Wilson Greatbatch. In that same year the Barbie Doll was invented, and at the end the same inventers of the “Integrated Circuit” invented the “microchip”. (Bellis)

In the 1950’s there have been a lot of technology advancements (22 things to be exact).
There are things that we got to be grateful. Starting in 1950 the credit card was made which now days we use a lot. On 1951 the television came more popular yet the television was not invented on the 1950’s but the color TV was made during this time period. Also in the same year the frist video recorder was made which now a days we usually use our phone to take video. In 1952 the Passenger Jets which was very popular in America then other counties wanted that same service. In 1953 the Chevy Corvette were the first generation was first introduced in the late 1953 and ended in 1962 which may people called it “solid axle”. Also in that same year the radio transistor was made and it was made into a pocket size radio which made listing to music easier. Later on in 1953 the “Black Box” which was a flight recorder which was used to record the conversation of the pilot to investigate what caused the plane to crash or if the plane caught on fire. In 1954 the Solar Battery was made by three scientists where there will put a battery outside with silicon where it get free electrons and make it into electricity. Then the Polypropylene was made which is a thermal plastic found on ropes and packaging. Then later on that same year the solar cell was made which converted solar energy into electrical energy. In 1955 optic fiber was made proving that light can be bent which we now we find this “Optic
Fiber” on toys or other things. In 1956 the first computer hard disk was used the drive could only hold 5MB for a $10,000 a megabyte. Later the hovercraft was made. Then we have the “3-D” which now we find on movies. 1957 was went the first satellite was first introduced into space its name was “Sputnik” and this was possible through the Space race between the US and the USSR. 1958 the first computer modem was made which only run under web 1.0 were it only revised and sent information between two computers. Also the laser was made. Later the Integrated Circuit and the photocopier was made similar to what we use as the “Printer”. Then finally in 1959 the microchip was made which we all use this chip on our device, and finally the first heart pacemaker which was very useful due to many people died due to the reason that there heart stopped, and this device made a heart pace back in.
