CHAPTER 1

Background Information of the Project Human Resource Information System is an established and organized system that will capture, store and share information related to the practices, policies, and the management of a company. Dagroup Meat Advantage Exchange Inc. is still using the manual way of storing information through the use of computers on some of their offices. The computers available for use are those low end ones which can barely help the employees in doing tasks faster and with high precision.

According to Ms. Jacquelyn A. Villion (HR Assistant II), Dagroup Meat Advantage Exchange Inc. is one of the leading distributors of San Miguel products for over 10 years. It started out as a small distributor in Ayala Alabang and now branches has expanded to Batangas, Laguna and Davao. Despite of its success, the company still embraces the old-fashioned approach to human resource information system.

Objectives of the Project:
General Objective: The primary aim of this project is to create an organized human resource information system that will accept and store information of the employees of the company with ease and with security.

Specific Objectives:
To be able to store employee information easily
To be able to secure confidential employee information
To help the company keep up with the current technology
To help in the foundation of a good working environment

Scope and Limitation of the Project

Scope:

The system covers the viewing, editing, and deleting of the individual information of the working personnel which comprise the overall workforce of the whole company. The system requires the Personal, Finance, Pre-Employment and Training information of employees which are secured and can only be accessible by certain assigned users of the system.
