The practice of proper garbage disposal is an ancient one but is the most essential thing to consider. Today, some people refuse to consider the practice of proper garbage disposal. It becomes one of the main problems not just in the entire community but also in our home. Garbage disposal have become quite common mostly in our kitchens because it provides a great way to get rid of food waste. They say that a good garbage disposal can last a decade or more if taken care properly. For some who do not care, it is always an issue. Simple garbage disposal problems are easy to fix, but with serious problems like clogging. It is due for some reasons as if people have accidentally tapped other things into it and then just thinks that the actual garbage disposal is broken and it will be better off replacing the old one. That is why we need to be careful when choosing a garbage disposal. Selecting garbage disposal unit should be based on quality and performance. On the other hand, brand or models are always not an issue and they are unlikely to fail during a rational lifespan because it always depends on the way it is used. The advice to consider proper care and usage of garbage disposal applies even more if you are cheap-minded type of person. Improper disposal of waste is one of the greatest threats to members of the community. For example, contaminated waste can be found by children who are playing and cause them injury and infection. In many low-resource settings, scavenging of medical waste is a significant problem. Not only are scavengers at risk of injury and infection themselves, but this practice can also put clients and the local community at risk when scavenged waste, such as syringes and needles, is reused. Properly disposing of waste is not just a personal responsibility; some kinds of waste, usually hazardous, must be properly disposed of according to law set forth by the Environment Protection Agency. Toxic waste can seep into the ground and contaminate our water supplies, and sometimes cause widespread disease. Even non-toxic waste causes pollution that contributes to global warming and a general negative impact on public health. The purpose of proper garbage disposal is it minimizes the spread of infections and reduces the risk of accidental injury to staff, clients, visitors, and the local community. It also helps provide an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. It reduces odors, and reduces the likelihood of contamination of the soil or ground water with chemicals or microorganism. Yes, we are still alive despite of the pollution and waste but do we have something left for the children? We are an integral part of the environment. Our activities change the environment around us. Changes in the environment affect us. Environmental problems like depletion of ozone layer and waste disposal are issues that have to be dealt with serious concern. Improvements in our lifestyle have resulted in greater amounts of waste material generation. The only thing us ordinary people can do in order to let the world know the importance of waste disposal is by teaching our own children. It is regard; we are nurturing a child to do what is right while we are also saving the future generations.
