The social issue that I choose to write about is the abuse. Abuse is defined as the physical injuries to victim perpetrated by other person, to treat in an injurious, harmful, or unpleasant way. There are many diverse kinds of abuse and is vulnerable to anybody at any age and can take place to anyone. The abuse is an issue that exists for a very long time in history. Physical abuse is frequently the most simply recognized appearance. Some forms of abuse are sexual abuse and emotional abuse. Sexual abuse represent any type of sexual contact between an adult person and any person younger than 18. Emotional abuse it is the most complicated to recognize because there are frequently no external signs of the abuse. Another type of abuse can be the neglecting of victim, which is complicated to recognize and describe (Lipschitz, 1999). The victim has difficulty to recognize that he is abused, especially if it is someone whom he has lived with for many years or it is a closed family person. Frequently, the children and the elderly who tend to get badly treated. Unfortunately, if a child has been abused for many years, he starts to think that this is the real life and nothing can be done about this situation. Others may blame themselves and do not get in touch with other persons for help. Also, when children see the way their parents are violent, they think the act is okay. It is known as domestic abuse, in which one person in a marriage or intimate relationship tries to control and dominate the other person. Abuse and domestic violence are used for the only reason to gain and keep up total power over a person.
According to www.childrensrights.org (2009) in US there were 3.6 million reports of child abuse connected to more than 6 million children. From those 3.6 million reported, a number of 690,000 kids have been found to be abuse victims. Of those abuse victims 78.3 percent suffered by
