This Investor Day presentation for Loblaw Companies Limited contains forward-looking statements about the Company’s objectives, plans, goals, aspirations, strategies, financial condition, results of operations, cash flows, performance, prospects and opportunities. These forward-looking statements are typically identified by words such as “anticipate”, “expect”, “believe”, “foresee”, “could”, “estimate”, “goal”, “intend”, “plan”, “seek”, “strive”, “will”, “may” and “should” and similar expressions, as they relate to the Company and its management. In this presentation, forward looking statements include the Company’s expectation that: • its capital expenditures in 2012 will be approximately $1.1 billion; • costs associated with the transition of certain Ontario conventional stores under collective agreements ratified in 2010 will range from $30 million to $40 million; • incremental costs related to investments in IT and supply chain in 2012 will be approximately $70 million; • incremental costs associated with strengthening its customer proposition will be approximately $40 million; and • full-year 2012 net earnings per share to be down year-over-year, with more pressure in the first half of the year, as a result of the Company’s expectation that operations will not cover the incremental costs related to the investments in IT and supply chain and its customer proposition. These forward-looking statements are not historical facts but reflect the Company’s current expectations concerning future results and events. They also reflect management’s current assumptions regarding the risks and uncertainties referred to below and their respective impact on the Company. In addition, the Company’s expectation with regard to its net earnings in 2012 is based in part on the assumptions that tax rates will be similar to those in 2011, the Company achieves its plan to increase net retail square footage by…

To evaluate my work I use the tools in the CWE, The Grammar and Writing guide that is there to help me develop my writing and communication skills. Also the Plagiarism paper checker to verify whether my sources are correct and I have not copied someone else idea. There are labs that you can access to help you with your sources if you’re struggling on a particular assignment and live services that you can attend via the WebEx and teleconference for about an hour. You have to commit yourself to doing the research and then utilize the tools within the library to assist you in determining the relevancy of your sources, by associating the main idea of your source to the main idea of your paper. The plagiarism checker is a great tool to use in determining the text of your paper has not been copied or structured in a way that reflects another person idea. To determine whether or not your source is reliable depends in part on two key factors, the author and his/her credibility in their field. Credible authors will cite their sources so you can check the accuracy of what they have written and how they support their viewpoint. Also, are their views of a neutral nature, and in agreement with your subject, and do they coincide with your topic and main idea? Using the internet as a source can be tricky because it is difficult to determine who the author is, anyone can submit or change the content. Keeping to peer reviewed text is the most reliable, because they undergo a strict evaluation process. The library and its sources has been a useful guide for me in my recent assignments and no doubt in future tasks. The checks and balances that it provides can and will assist you in submitting a quality paper and hopefully giving you an A paper. It is important to remember the effort and work you put in to writing a quality paper benefits you in the long run and strengthens your…

In addition to profits, driven by sales, the investors and board will expect results relating to stock price, credit rating, and image rating. The management team will continue to balance these areas. For example, we have adjusted investments directed at corporate responsibility, the environment, and employee interests. In the financial area, management will ensure that credit does not drain on cash flow, and that shares outstanding are at the appropriate level. We feel that currently, the dividends match expectations; however, we look to buy back some shares in the coming years.…

A slide show is a es of still images on a projection screen or electronic display device, typically in a prearranged sequence. Each image is usually displayed for at least a few seconds, and sometimes for several minutes, before it is replaced by the next image. The changes may be automatic and at regular intervals or they may be manually controlled by a presenter or the viewer. Slide shows originally consisted of a series of individual photographic slides projected onto a screen with a slide projector. When referring to the video or computer-based visual equivalent, in which the slides are not individual physical objects, the term is often written as one word, slideshow.…
