In Vitro Fertilization
Invitro Fertilization has worked for people for several years. It’s not something that happens overnight, but for women with serious reproductive issues this may be the only medical solution available. Each cycle of IVF is a chance happening. The vast majority of couples who go this route normally conceiveafter a maximum of three cycles. Thirty years ago the only solution for a problem of this magnitude was adoption. IVF is serious and not to be taken likely. Childless couples will only have to try to conceive for two years before receiving IVF on the NHS, thehealth service rationing body has said, as fertility treatment is extended to gay couples and women over 40.
• better pregnancy rate (have seen some things saying 60% - 80% with the full chromosome testing)
• with testing, hopefully, lower MC (Miscarriage) rate (again, with the full testing, possibly around 10% or less)
• There is less stress during pregnancy/worry about MC
The average IVF cost is $12,000, but it can be as much as $15,000. It may be as low as $10,000, but it’s rarely lower than that. These prices are for one cycle of IVF.
If a fertility clinic tells you that their IVF costs less than $10,000, they are probably leaving something out from their price quote. Ask them if their price quote includes everything, including fertility drug purchases, ultrasound and monitoring costs, blood work, and any options they consider “extra”.
If you have frozen embryos from a previous cycle and want to use them, doing so is significantly cheaper than doing a complete IVF cycle with fresh embryos. The average cost for a frozen embryo transfer (FET), is about $3,000.
Additional Costs and Options:
Basic IVF costs around $12,000, if you need additional assisted reproductive technologies the cost will be higher.
ICSI(intracytoplasmic sperm injection) treatment (where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg) may be an
