The Real Smartphone

We have endless choices to choose from when it comes to purchasing a smart phone. Some base their decision on cost while others want the top of the line. Thanks to Apple and the creative mastermind Steve Jobs, the iphone is competitively priced and delivers amazing features and quality. With many different models to choose from, you are sure to find one that will suit your needs and exceed your expectations. “Almost every new Apple product is thinner, faster, and lighter than its predecessor (Jason Snell, Iphone5 Takes Next Step In Smartphone Evolution, Macworld. December 2012, Vol. 29 Issue 12 pg 28-32).” Over the years I have had many different smart phones but the iphone is the only one I have been completely satisfied with. I believe that the Iphone is the most unique cutting edge technology you can buy because of face time, siri, and its excellent quality and features. By far the most unique feature on the iphone would have to be face time. Face time is a video chat like Skype but it’s on your phone. This feature allows you to see the person you are talking to wherever they are. Being able to connect with my family and friends in this special way is something I now wouldn’t want to go without. I use face time with my dad when he is out of town and with my boyfriend when we are away from each other. It’s so nice to see their face and their surroundings during our conversations. I’m also able to screen shot during face time, which allow me to take pictures of our conversations. Can you imagine how nice it would be to have face time if you had family and friends who lived far away? To be able to see their face anytime, anywhere keeps you connected in a way no other smart phone can. Another amazing feature is Siri. Siri stands for Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface. This hands free feature allows you to make calls, send messages, set reminders, make appointments, and do so much

Apple is continually on the cutting edge of technological advances in the cellular phone industry with better innovations to their products. The iPhone 5S® is the most recent technological advancement to the iPhone® with an improved camera, a next-gen CPU and motion tracking chip, and fingerprint sensors. Major drawbacks are that it still has the four inch screen like the original iPhones®, the fingerprint sensor only works with Apple applications at this time, the 64 bit A7 processor and the M7 motion-tracking chips do not have any “killer apps” yet, and the iOS 7 may boggle the minds of longtime iPhone users; the iPhone 5S is by far the fastest and most technologically advanced of the Apple SmartPhones® to date. Outstanding American author Marya Hornbacher stated in her book, Madness: A Bipolar Life that “When you are mad, mad like this, you don't know it. Reality is what you see. When what you see shifts, departing from anyone else's reality, it's still reality to you.” In my short seventeen years of life, I have experienced the “mad” feeling Hornbacher describes. I have faced a rougher side of life and survived. To date, I have overcome depression and anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I am continually growing and learning. I accept that each day is a new day with new experiences. I have high expectations for my life. Success will be the new reality I choose to see. Before medication, before therapy, before everything, I was miserable. Sadness filled my world with faded shades of blue and grey. At times, there were moments of sparkling white that brought happiness into my soul. I obsessed over my schoolwork, so I could maintain as much control as possible. I was always pushed; pushed by my peers, pushed by my family, but mostly pushed by myself. To my peers, I was a loser. But they did not know me. To my teachers, I was a girl with potential. But they did not know me, either. I took solace in the routine of school and found my identity as a student. Focusing on my schoolwork helped me get by, but I needed more to begin to heal from my past and flourish. From the abusive experiences of my childhood, my distorted reality reminded me daily of why I had to move away, optimistically, from the hurt. In seventh grade, I went to a CRISIS Center to deal with the issues that were tormenting me and that hospitalization started my recovery. My healing began with the help of those caring professionals I encountered. Their impact on me helped me find strength to deal with my traumatic experiences. Every day they persuaded me to continue on, attend each group and smile a little more. When I left, everything began to work out for me. I began…

Sitting in a room when one looks around, majority of the people in that room are usually on their cell phones. People have begun to cut out human contact with one another and have become so focused on what is going on, on their phones. Cellphones have become an important part in most of our lives and picking a phone today has become just as stressful as buying a house or a new car. Most people own a smartphone, and in today’s society there is a big controversy over two particular smartphones on the market and which one is better. A good cell phone maintains great service and is very reliable. Service is a must because the primary reason for having a cell phone is being able to keep in contact with others at all times. The iPhone has great service due to its capability of having 3G, 4G, and LTE service all at once. Other phones are usually not nearly as advanced and can only have service speeds of up to 4G. IPhones are known for their dependability because Apple is easily one of the smartest and most valued companies to feature cell phones. Another great reason the iPhone is reliable is because of how the phone has grown in the past several years. The iPhone is now on its 5th generational model, excluding the amped up versions such as the S or C, and doesn’t have any of the problems the previous may have.…
