First, I have to admit a mistake that I made...not reading the directions. When you've been around makeup and skincare as long as I have, you think you know how everything works - wrong! When I first tried DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, I put some on a cotton ball and attempted to wipe the makeup off my face. My makeup hardly budged and the oil just soaked into the cotton ball. Because of this, I did not like
this product and put it aside. However, I recently decided to try it again. My second attempt to use this product had different results, because I decided to read the directions (what a novel concept!)
Per the directions, to use the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil "dispense into dry hands, then massage onto dry face to dissolve makeup, dirt and other impurities. Rinse thoroughly." When used as instructed, this product in phenomenal! As I've noted in previous posts, I wear a waterproof foundation (Estee Lauder Double Wear) - which this product removes with ease. Yes, this is a cleansing oil, but once you rinse off your face there is no trace of oil. My face was left soft and smooth.
So, does it live up to its claims?
dissolves all traces of dirt, impurities and cosmetics - YES works on waterproof mascara and eyeliner - YES hydrating - YES water-soluble - YES no greasy residue - YES
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is available in a 6.7 fl. oz. pump bottle and in a mini three-pack (which is great for travel).
I'm always looking for a good cleanser and I may have just found it. If you give it a try, let me know what you think!
Until next time, stay beautiful! ~ Devon
