Is Abortion Moral and Ethical?
"Is abortion moral and ethical?" Abortion is a very controversial subject that has been continually argued over many years and probably many to come. The main controversy is should abortion be legalized in all cases? There are two sides to abortion they are the PRO-LIFE which is those who are against abortion altogether and the PRO- CHOICE or those who believe it is the woman's right to choose if she wants to have an abortion. These two groups offer different solutions to the problem. Although abortion is morally and ethically wrong should it be legal for victims of rape or incest who have no other alternative? Although abortion is morally and ethically wrong should it be legal for victims of rape or incest who have no other alternative? Its should be legal for only victims of rape, incest or medicinal purposes. For instance if you are to ill to carry the baby full term and it is recommended by the doctor then why not; or if a women is raped by a stranger or by a family member then why not? But just because some young lady is willing to go out and have unprotected sex does not mean she should have an easy way out "ABORTION" if she were to end up pregnant. In this country 43% of all women will have one abortion in their life time(www.religioustolerance.org) The reasons may be: Rape or incest victim, Financially unstable, Medical reasons, Lack of responsibility, Their age, Pressure from parents, Fear of neglect or personal and social image.(www.religioustolerance.org) But some of these do not give any excuse to take a life away just because they had to much fun slumming around. Then you have the case of women who have late term abortions. To be considered late term the women is nine to sixteen weeks in term.

The two groups Pro-Choice and Pro-Life are definitely the opposite. Pro-choice are people who believe that the women has the right to decided her own decisions and the government should not interfere. Someone who believes in this could also

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

A group of feminists one day decided to get together and create a band to speak out against the injustice toward women, kids, blacks and American Indians. These women saw a world filled violence and cruelty. But and here is the big but “Abortion” one of these women referred to it as an atrocity forced upon women by a male dominated society. They also saw a very real connection between denying personhood and basic human rights to women and others and denying these same rights to unborn children. To accept abortion, they felt would be to continue the tragic and unjust cycle of violence. So I wonder if a women was or has been raped and she gets pregnant should she keep the baby, but why would she do that, yes I agree that a child is a blessing when it is wanted but how about when he is not, how about when a teenager gets pregnant shall she stop all of her dreams to become a mommy.…

People who choose to have abortions done, most of them probably do not know how it is done, or they just do not care due to their own selfishness and ignorance. There are different excuses that they use for having abortions. People who are pro-choice think that a person or mother has the right to do as she chooses with her own body (Being Pro-Choice). They believe that an embryo is not a human and has no rights of their own. Pro-choice campaigners argue that the surgical procedure is completely safe and harmless (Lowen). This is false. Choosing to have an abortion is putting a woman’s body at risk. A mother can have serious complications that can affect their health and their future pregnancies, if able to be pregnant again…

As expected, there is a "pro-choice advocate" which is someone who feels that the woman 's right to choose should come before anything, even human life. The main argument of "pro-choice" advocates is naturally that women should have the right to choose what happens to their own bodies. They use the Roe vs. Wade case of 1973 to support their arguments. Roe vs. Wade has provided a fundamental basis for nearly all of the laws regarding abortion that exist today. It ruled that "the right of privacy... is broad enough to encompass a woman 's decision whether or not to…

Recently, I read “Arguments for and Against Abortions” that discussed the history of the abortion debate. I found that there are two major groups who often have heated discussion about their belief on whether abortion is right or wrong choice for women to do. Abortion… one of the most talked about issues in our society today. What is abortion? It involves one terminating a pregnancy by removing or expelling of a fetus or embryo from the uterus. Women and Men often find themselves facing the dilemma of whether or not to end a pregnancy. People have often had differences in opinion about this controversial topic because some feel that it is unethical as it regards to legal, cultural, and religious views. Most people are either all for, or against having the abortion procedure being done they’re very few who are undecided about this issue. There are many high-profile groups two in particular that acclaim either Pro-Life or Pro-Choice. United States pro-life groups feel there should be greater restrictions on abortion or even ban it. They argue that a human fetus is a human being with a right to live, so to them abortion is like murder. In contrast, you have the pro-choice organization that says women have the reproduction rights, to make the choice on whether or not she wants to carry a pregnancy to term. So many questions are raised when it comes to this matter. Is having an abortion is right or wrong? To me abortion is every women's right. Pro-life will argue statement such as abortion is murder, if a woman is willing to have sex, she’s knowingly taking the risk of getting pregnant, and should be responsible for her actions, adoption is a viable alternative to abortion, and rape doesn’t justify an abortion just to name a few.…

abortion, is a pre-planned decision to terminate the life of a fetus. This act is therefore ending the course of life of a healthy fetus (fetus that would otherwise be able l to live) in a biologically unnatural way, though a medical procedure. This procedure, an abortion, is then not morally permissible as it interrupts and halts the process that had already started, the life of a embryo/fetus, a future baby.…

First off, there are some who consider abortion to be as cruel as murder and wrong in God’s eyes. This group of individuals would be called Pro-Life and they are completely against abortion. At the time of conception, they consider the fetus to be a human being and have the rights that any other living being does. They do not look at abortion as an option to avoidance of becoming a parent. They are those who take on full responsibility of their actions or what may have happened to them such as rape.…
