Is Animal Testing Right Or Wrong Essay

In the world of animal cruelty, there are plenty of controversial issues surrounding this topic. Out of all of them, animal testing would be the most controversial topic in dealing with animal cruelty. Scientists have been doing animal testing for many years, using animals as their guinea pigs. There is a controversy on whether animal testing is right or wrong. On one side, the article “Animal Testing and Its Gift to Humans” by Frankie Trull talks about, as said in the title, how animal testing is helpful in finding cures for human diseases and that we should continue in doing so. The article states “This extraordinary development wouldn’t have been possible without animal research” (Trull 2). This shows how animal testing has helped out in finding cures for many illnesses in humans. Without the help of animals, we wouldn’t have the cures we have today. On the other hand, some people believe that animal testing is wrong and shouldn’t be done. According to the article “Killing Animals and Humans,” it states “...many differences – both obvious and very subtle – between humans and other species make animal experiments a waste of time, effort, money and lives – both human and animal.” (Animal Aid 6). Although it is not right, I also believe that it is much better than testing on humans. I believe animal testing is animal cruelty because scientists and researchers don't care about what animals feel and don't care what they do to animals as long as they see the results they want to see.
