Is Atticus Finch Noble Or Brave

Many people have thought this to be the greatest book. Throughout Harper’s Lee How to kill a mockingbird, Atticus a main character and a single father raising two children diligently every day. He has many notable standards, which he has never been led astray by worldly thoughts, but steadfast in the laws which he believes strongly in. He shares many different ideas than the small community of Maycomb where he resides in. Always striving teach his children a code for living and keeping his family safe from the dangers that lurk around. Atticus as single father of two, he demonstrates abundantly the characteristics of being Noble, brave, and wise. Holding these characteristic close to his heart, he lives day to day shining God’s light. As one starts by reading throughout the first few chapters of this book, He will soon realizes the nobility that Atticus possesses. It is clearly shown in a court house during a trial. Tom Robinson a black man who has a trail, who is defended by Atticus because he believes weather you’re black or white you have done wrong before, Atticus states, “Which, gentlemen, we know is in itself a lie as black as Tom Robinson’s skin, a lie I do not have to point out to you. You know the truth, and the truth is this: some Negroes lie, some Negroes are immoral, some Negro men are not to be trusted around
Atticus showcased this spirit when he decided to take up the Tom Robinson case as being his lawyer. There one can clearly see how he showed bravery taking up a case that defended a black man, which was abhor by many of Maycomb’s citizen. Atticus says, “Never judge anyone, until you have been in their shoes, and walked around in them.” (86) Which again will prove that he wills stick to his morals laws which he strongly believes in, it also displays how Atticus is brave to stand up for the right
