Is Coffee Good for Your Health?
Are you a big fan of coffee? Do your husband (or wife), your children, or your close friends have a habit of drinking coffee every morning? Some people think that drinking coffee is an unhealthy habit, but today a lot of research showed that coffee has potential health benefits, for example, coffee could lower the risk of heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, and offer more energy. In 2012, a study presented at an American Heart Association reported that coffee drinkers who drank between one and three cups of coffee were less likely to be hospitalized for heart disease than nondrinkers. A study in Japan also showed that drinking one or two cups of coffee a day might reduce the risk of death from cardiovascular disease.Besides, a US study in 2012 suggested drinking coffee in moderation may also protect heart attack.In addition, coffee may mean a lower risk of Parkinson disease. Many studies showed that the more coffee a person consumed, the less likely he had Parkinson disease. A Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease published in 2010 presented twenty six studies showed that coffee drinkers who drank two to three cups of coffee could have a 25% lower risk of developing Parkinson’s. A recent study at the Harvard School of Public Health demonstrated that men who drank four to five cups of coffee daily might cut their risk of developing Parkinson's almost in half. And not only that, coffee could improve human brain functions. Coffee could elevate mood and feelings of well-being. It also reduces fatigue and helps the central nervous system to remain alert. Imagine that drivers who drove such long distances day and night, drinking coffee could help them stay alert and focused on the road. If people felt tired and sleepy in the morning, drinking a cup of hot coffee can increase alertness and make them more creative at work.     Many people around the world start their days off with coffee or tea. Mainly because of the caffeine that gives your body a shot of energy and because of the unique taste of both beverages. Coffee and tea are mainly served as a hot beverage or can be made chilled or iced.
