Is Julius Caesar Bad
In “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar” by William Shakespeare, I picked Caesar and I say he truly didn’t deserve to die and he was a an okay guy. Reasons being, yes Caesar was a bad person sometimes but truly I think Caesar just wanted to help the people of Rome. I believe Caesar was a good guy but people only saw the wrong things he did. Like when he did die he left money and land to the people of Rome, maybe he was a nice guy people just didn’t give him a chance. In the play it also makes Caesar out to be a man that only cares about himself, but I think Caesar cared about a lot of people for example, his wife and best friend Brutus. I see Caesar as the underdog at times because he was never given a chance he was just judged and told no, in this …show more content…
Brutus was also his best friend and Brutus never had a doubt in his mind that his best friend couldn’t rule Rome. The play was full of hatred too, this all started because of hatred and that no one would believe Ceasar could rule Rome.

I would say Caesar is a tragic hero, because he has flaws and sooner than later those flaws end up getting him killed. In the story his flaw would be trusting people too easily and also being hard headed. For example, when told he shouldn’t go to the capital because he would be killed Caesar still goes because he doesn’t want to look cowardly. Caesar doesn’t question people's actions as much as he should.

Caesar is also the a Antagonist at times because he goes against Brutus when Caesar really only cares about himself and leaves his best friend. He is also very arrogant, in the beginning he says, “and for I am Caesar”, usually people who are arrogant talk in the third person. But, arrogance doesn’t make you a bad person, it may make you annoying and self

Caesar as a leader was a very harsh and a very unmanly man. Caesar was a man who made them fight for his own wars. He had many men battle for. Caesar is also a very non believer. Caesar was part of a very bloody war. He went into battle with his men who he sent their first and they fought in a blood bath. Caesar said he had to do this because there was no other route when really there was. Caesar was not a good man because with this that he did it was bloody and it was not a very good battle for him because many live where lost. This makes me believe that Caesar is a poor leader not caring about his men or caring about the fact if he win or loses. Caesar also didn't care about the fact of the land. If he messed it up so be it. Caesar a poor leader in my eyes.…
