In the article “Is Regifting Rude?” there are two contrasting points which both brings out reasonable statements. For instance> the author is right when he states that regifting can be hurtful to the original gift giver because once someone decides to make you a gift it’s because you mean something important to him/her, he/she cares about you no matter what the physical value of presents may be. It’s unfair taking a present you received with so much love and give it to someone else because you don’t need it or like it.
However, regifting
gives purpose to items we don’t need or ones that are simply better suited to someone else. Although I personally don’t agree with that, it’s acceptable to rewrap something you think it’d fit more to someone else than to you if won’t ever need it.
