Is Superman A Hero Or A Villain

When you hear “Hero” what do you think of? Superman, an army soldier… What about Adolf Hitler? Many people have heroes that they look up to, whether they be fictional or real. Others, however, may see these heroes as villains, and hate them. When you hear people talking about Hitler, you likely think of the Holocaust, leading to Hitler being thought of as a villain. Going more indepth with the thought of Hitler, he, believe it or not, was honored as a hero of Germany, and was idolized before the Holocaust. He started as a simple painter, but when he applied for art school, he wasn’t accepted. Because of Hitler not being accepted, he decided to go into politics, and government. Eventually, he created the Nazi party, and brought Germany back to power from their downfall after World War One. Although Hitler had brought Germany back, he set Germany on a path of going back down. Hitler decided the people needed someone to blame for their problems, and so he told his people that the Jewish people were to blame for their downfall.
Going back to Superman, although he is fictional, many may look up to the way his character acts.
Although the Superman character means well, and brings down the bad guy, he will normally cause more destruction to the area then the villain originally did. Some civilians in the story think that Superman is the true villain, destroying the city, one person who believes this is Superman’s nemesis, Lex Luthor. This adds a touch of realism to the story, some people seeing Superman as an amazing hero, honoring him, meanwhile others see Superman as villainous scum, and curse him. Again, although Superman is a fictional character in a story, some people still look up to him and his
actions. In short, many people can be considered a hero or a villain based off of their actions, even those who were once considered heroes have been shunned as a villain. Hitler, Superman, and many others can be seen in different ways.
