In the American history Presidents from Roosevelt to Obama have noted or said something about fear. This is because feeling free from fear would better any country. Though we all may have it in common, the word “it” can mean a lot of different things. A struggle to speaking inspirationally about this topic is connecting everyone's fear, from the poor to the rich and those in between. Rarely is there one topic that everyone fears and this is because we are all struggling in our own ways. The rich might need to worry about where…

A capitalist economy relies on entrepreneurs creating jobs for people and those people with jobs to pay taxes to keep our government afloat so it can run the country the way it needs to. People with jobs who pay taxes are doing exactly what they are supposed to and are doing their share to keep our economy going. People who go out of their way to pay as little taxes as possible and get around paying for things such as food at a restaurant or dress clothes are called freeloaders. Freeloaders hurt the economy because they don't necessarily have high income but get the benefits of high society without paying taxes and contributing to our economy. Are Freeloaders just smarter than your average person and therefore are completely fine doing what they are doing?…

To be an American, means to have freedom over one’s own life. In this country of ours we are blessed to be able to express ourselves through freedom of speech without punishment. This is truly what it means to be an American. To be individual, and live your own life the way you choose…

What being an American means to me is that I have the rights to do anything. Even though we are able to have all of these rights doesn’t mean we are able to take advantage of them there are still consequences for our actions. All the people in the Navy, Army, Air-force etc have the job to protect us, not everyone who shoots people just because. Being an American to me means being respectful to everyone. Like what Harry S Truman said, “you know that being an American is more than a matter of where your parents came from. It is a belief that all men are created equally and that everyone deserves an even break.” Being an American means to be brave loyal and kind to everyone no matter what. We…

Being an American can mean numerous things. Such as being proud, brave, and confident. But most importantly, it means being free. Families and individuals come to the U.S with the hope of a new life and a greater future. They see it as a fresh start as well as a chance to start over and become more successful. All of those who arrive to America are in search of a life fulfilled with freedom, liberty, and happiness. Accomplishing these three things are what makes an American “successful.” It doesn’t matter where you came from, what religion, or what ethnicity you are. America is the land of the free.…

What does it mean to be American? To me an American has always meant someone who is free, someone who is able to live their life as they see fit, someone who can live their life to the fullest. As an immigrant, America has always been this place where your dreams are real and possible. Once my family and I touched down in the United States, our goals and dreams became tangible. Success and American, has always gone hand in hand in my mind. I feel extremely lucky to live in America, if my family did not emigrate here I would not be the person I am today. This gives me the motivation to do well, this is the reason why I feel that I have to be successful.…

Is the American dream just a myth? Anyone who does not live in America imagines his greatest ambitions and the best place to meet them America. For everyone the American dream means something else. In this term I imagine pretty house with swimming pool in the suburb of any American town, beautiful wife, nice cars, a lot of money. Almost as much as we see in movies. American dream I would define as a life goal. We all want to achieve something and everyone says it differently but we always mean the American dream. :)…

Fear is ever present. It can be found in any place at any time on the Earth, from a scuba diver at the bottom of an ocean to a skydiver, miles away from the ground. As humans, it is our one and only instinct, and it drives everything the human race does. Fear is the one word that can be found inside of every being on this planet. As such, in an advanced society such as the society found in the USA, fear is widespread. While it may not be evident to those outside of the country, it is a cause of considerable concern for those within the US. For this reason, the fear in the American society should be mitigated. Yet, similar to most controversial topics, this is easier said than done. America is continually plagued by the threat of ISIL, a terrorist group based in Syria, and fear of an economic crisis and a bear market.…
