INTRODUCTION
The College, a part of the Delhi University, stands today as one of the most reputed Business School in India. Not just academics, But CBS caters to the development of co-curricular acumen among students. CBS resides in itself, FinX, the finance society of college, that aims at developing financial and monetary skills among students.
Objectives
Boost financial acumen of students Awareness about the recent happenings in the world of finance
Platform for students to present their own take on global financial events
Introduce programmes, workshops, and seminars , for better understanding of the technicalities of the Stock Market and clear basic concepts.
REGULAR ACTIVITIES AN OVERVIEW
Organizing various intra college events like Finomenon, Debt-O-Blast and many more. Organizing the famous inter college event “FINWIZ” on a large scale. Writing and publishing articles on the society’s blog. Conducting live mock trading opportunities. Teaching society members various techniques of trading. Keep track of various finance related competitions in other college fests.
OUR WORK, SO FAR
Regular mailing of the Weekly Pulse to the College; our initiative to keep updated their current finance knowledge using our e-newspapers. Organized FINOMENON, the intra-college stock simulation game that saw participation of over 200 students of the college, at the college itself. The event was a great success, and also a mock training event for the then upcoming, large-scale event, FINWIZ.
FinX organized FINWIZ 2011 in. The program, that saw participation of over 450 students from all over the DU. It was all about pure financial trading, where participants acted as investors and competed to invest in companies and earn greater profits, in the midst of various hurdles like short-selling, mark-tomarket margin, round-wise new instruments, etc. FINWIZ works on a “learn and play” model where in we teach the rules to each and
