It's Time To Make The Sugar Cookies During Christmas
The family came in every year during Christmas Eve in order to spend the holidays together. They were loud and boisterous and loved spending every minute with each other. Christmas Eve was approaching and the kids were shaking with anticipation because of exhilaration. Along with the excitement of opening presents they were able to make and deliver sugar cookies to families in their town. Christine, who was the mother, was in charge of making the sugar cookies. She made these sugar cookies year after year and had perfected them. However, during Christmas Eve, she began to stress because she only had one day to make the sugar cookies for 15 families. They were on a time limit. Luckily, her daughter, Ella, was in town. Ella discovered years before that she had a secret talent for baking. She enjoyed baking anything and …show more content…
Along with the ingredients, she also bought plastic candy cane themed plates. She wanted to ensure that the cookies, they were delivering encompassed a holiday spirit. As she came out of the store it started lightly snowing. She didn’t think anything of it, because it didn’t look as serious as everyone had made it to be. As she came home, they immediately began whipping up the sugar cookies. The kitchen was a mess, flour was being sprinkled on the counter top, egg yolks were dripping over the counter top and bowls of frosting filled the table. It was approaching five pm when they finished baking the cookies. They waited for them to cool in order to frost them. Christine and Ella walked away from the cookies so they could have a break after spending the entire day baking. No one was near the cookies so Noah, the devious little brother, decided he could have a couple for himself. He figured no one would notice if a couple of cookies were missing.
